Was that the game where the Rangers fans threw their whisky bottles into the North Bank roof and showered the Home fans with broken glass. ? I was in the middle of that. Mad

I've got Jack Kelsey's signature on a with compliments from the Arsenal shop notelet! My first purchase was in 1969. I bought a replica kit, in those days we wore navy and white hooped stockings! Ha the good old days. The first keeper I remember was Jim Furnell, followed by the great Bob Wilson.
PS sorry Potter just saw your message re Rangers Game. Yes it was, probably marks the strt of the hooligan period of football. Mind you we used to have some good games against the Rangers.

First ever game: Plymouth v Arsenal (League cup) 1983. 1-1 draw. Think I've still got the ticket stub.

First home game: Arsenal v Everton 1991 (1-0, Merson).

Even after all these years I can't forget.

Come on without , Come on within, You ain't seen nothing like Fumbling Jim.

We used to sing that to him and he played up to it by dropping his hat or the water bottle.

In the north bank 6 November 1993, but we LOST :O 2-1 to villa. Andy townsend scored for them i remember and ian wright missed a penalty.

Not the best of first games(it actually took me 6 visits before we finally won a game)!

Leeds United 2-1 Highbury 1996 at the age of seven.

Missed the first goal because I was in the North Bank toilets, Ian Wright scored it.

Gary McAllister equalised for United with a fine goal, before Wright scored again late on to seal the win, I missed that goal too simply due to my lack of height.

Fantastic day, I seem to remember being amazed and in fits of laughter due to a purple strawberry in the matchday programme, some advertisement. Oh Dear !
