My God I share this forum with a bunch of kids.My first game was 11th October 1947 v Aston Villa.Ronnie Rooke scored the winning goal. We won 1-0 the team was: 1.George Swindin 2.Laurie Scott 3.Wally Barnes 4.Archie Macauly 5.Les Compton 6.Joe Mercer 7.Don Roper 8.Jimmy Logie 9.Ronnie Rooke 10.Bryn Jones 11.Ian McPherson The crowd was 60,427 and we won the League Title that season.
I don`t know if you will agree with me Potter but I have always thought that Jack Kelsey was the best Goalkeeper I have seen play for AFC,better even than Seaman and Jennings

Agreed, he was one of the reasons I started supporting Arsenal. Do you remember his little souvenir shop on the clock end? Mugs and scarves, rosettes and car stickers was about the extent of the stock. Wonder what he`d make of the Armoury?
He was going to Arsenal matches before even I was born!
Yep! I remember his little shop, room for about three people at a time but he started something which grew into a huge commercial enterprise. As Mao said `the longest journey starts with but a single step`
