What makes me sick is pathetic supporters who think that just because a player plays for Arsenal he automatically gets the fans support. Also that holding the club to ransom is fine and we should all shut up and put up !
Well said, Rocastle.

Im dead serious. I will not celelbrate a single thing he does until either A) He apologises to Arsenal and the fans for him and his agents behaviour or B) Categorically states he has never made any of these demands or seeked a transfer and that it is merely press nonsense and apologises for not saying so quicker.

Most of the hate for Ade [including the song] is based on quotes from THE SUN and THE NEWS OF THE WORLD! I mean come on, those very papers have been accussed AGAIN of making up quotes just the other day with Ferguson. Not enough evidence for me to justify turning on him, but we need this thing to be sorted out for the sake of the squad.

And what about Ade backtracking on his statement? Unlike other players who categorically deny such press rubbish Ade has done nothing of the sort.

Will he, won't he?
Will he turn up for training tomorrow?
Will he be late turning up?
Interesting to see.

No doubt there is something going on... but the main bits - i.e. him demanding 120k a week, wanting parity with Henry came from those papers. He wants a rise, no doubt about that, and he probably deserves one - but to no more than 60k.

I refuse to pre-judge this. What I have been able to garner from research and not all of it based on hard evidence is as follows:
Last year the club told Ade that if he delivered they would consider an increase in salary for him. He earns less than the likes of Keane and Defoe.
This year ( after being the PL's second highest gaol scorer ) he went ( Oiver Twist -like ) and asked for more. The club were somewhat reluctant.
Ade's agent began posturing. That idiot in Italy, who is NOT ade's agent began to stir the pot. Positions seem to have become somewhat entrenched, so something must give.
I believe that Ade is worth £60,000, taking all things into consideration. I also believe that if the club give him that and the offer to look at his salary next year, honour will be satisfied and we can get on with football. It may, of course, be possible that Arsene is intent on selling and that Ade is being painted into a corner.
I am waiting with interest, to see what transpires. I am not an Ade fan, but am cognisant of the fact that if he goes we need a comparable player who could end up costing as much if not more, and who might need time to settle in.

He was offered an improved deal by all accounts - not one that Ade accepted though.

True that, a lot of the crap said in the press that they reported came from Ades agent came from him, who had nothing to do with him! Lazy lazy journalism, yet it still sticks in peoples minds.

Arsenal havent denied the comments made by Galliani last week about being willing to discuss a fee. That was telling in my mind.
Also Daniel Fitzman comments about Hleb and Ade a couple of weeks ago saying the situation remained the same in both cases...

We've said he's not for sale.
True that there is certainly something going on... but we don't know exactly what - could be what I said, you said or something totally different altogether.
