What you say is true in some respects but the Kronk or anyone else who may take us over could increase revenue by increasing ticket prices, food and drink, programmes and anything else they could think of.

How is the new Anfield coming along anyway? At least they are doing well on the pitch! Why would any investor wish to see the core business (football) suffer by taking money out of the business?[/quote] Why would a non-Arsenal fan want to invest in a business that they cannot afford to buy, in a different country? To withdraw money from that business. Kroenke is not an Abramovich type, he wants to make money. I'd expect an instant rise in season ticket and matchday ticket prices and an end to cheap Carling Cup games (or compulsory to ST holders like at United). And this would just be to get us back to square 1 as the increased revenue would be required to cover the debt repayments. This guy is bad news, and I hope he never takes over. Sit on the board all he likes, but no takeover under any circumstances (the AST and Peter Hill-Wood share this view by all accounts).

In the not to distant future the club will have paid back it's mortgage on the ground. If the club continues to be relatively successful the shares will probably go up by 50% as debt free, it will be a money making concern. This is when the present lot will sell out and maximise their profits. As such they will have to provide enough to keep us up there whilst gleaning about everything they can as they pay off the debt. In my opinion..

It already is a money making concern, even after the debt repayments on the stadium.

True but , take the debt away from the bottom line and thats when the real money starts to roll in.

Yeah, that was the point of the new ground after all. Lets just hope they don't make it too expensive for anyone to go to, else the money won't be rolling in very fast.

Thats the problem and why we already have a high turnover of season tickets as the shall we say old guard slowly but surely drop out.

The problem, as far as I can see, is that players wages are rising far faster than fans wages. Thats fans that have a job at all. A totally unsustainable system develops where ticket prices must be raised at the same rate to pay for it, in order to retain the same profit levels. They must get a grip on players wages, as they are not worth the money (not just Arsenal), and it is driving lower income fans out of the game, or at least out of the Premiership.

This isn't a new problem....Arsenal especially have been mugging us for a good decade.

Ever since the Premier League really. The players in the 89/91 Championship winning sides would have earnt a fraction of todays players wages.

I too see no major difference between the current board's actions and the perceived threats coming from USA or Russia. The argument I hear is that as least the current board are fans and have our best interests at heart. Its not about being a fan for Kronke (although he might be). Its more about is Arsenal a business that will make him money or lose him money. You don't buy Coca-Cola and sell the ingredients and hope to make money out of it. You don't buy a football club, alienate the customer (fan) base and reduce the quality of the product and hope to make money out of it.

Mike Ashley, not a Newcastle fan, is doing just that.
