Okay, just making sure. Obviously disagree about Ramos, he has proved nothing league-wise and apparently a lot of success he enjoyed in Sevilla came down to the structure of the club, not just him.
Nope...all him. Hes a very hands on manager and likes things done his own way. At spurs it was different and you saw the results.

Will be strange to see how he reacts to r.madrids way of thingsSmiler

He didn't sign his own players at Sevilla iirc, and had a team of coaches along with him, so don't know where you got that from. He's been at several clubs with no success, then success at Sevilla, and back to no success at Spurs... I'd hardly say the man is fit for the Arsenal job. IF he gets the Real job he won't last more than 18 months, guaranteed.

Would the apparent reasons for getting rid of Wenger not be the same as NOT getting Spaletti? Roma are near the bottom of Serie A and lost at home to FC Cluj in the CL didn't they?

I'm applying it more, not just to Saturday, but to posts on here, comments in the media, and chatter in the pub before games etc.

Its as if we have a strikers issue. Bendtner is our 4th choice striker, only playing due to injuries and suspensions. We are shipping goals for fun, embarrasingly bad goals, every week. The defensive structure needs sorting out. We can't defend set pieces, we can't defend long range shots, we can't defend!

One thing we can do is score goals(including NB), but that doesn't matter if you are always going to leak goals. I'm no NB fan-club, but I think he is an effective squad striker.

As I said yesterday, while the 'defensive' side of our squad is in direst need of attention, the 'offensive' component also needs strengthening. While on paper we have enough strikers and creative players, Vela's potential is just that at the moment, Bendtner is clearly not good enough, and most of the others seem exceptionally fragile (Van Persie, Rosicky, Walcott). I have deliberately left Eduardo out of the equation as no-one can legislate for a single piece of thuggery, but the fact remains we cannot be sure that he will be the same player as before.

So, I return to my argument that we need a manager willing to invest in 5 or 6 experienced, top quality players - including a creative midfielder and a striker.

i haven't lose hope in Arsene, but i so much understand why we the supporters are weak over the poor performance from time to time.... honestly i thought he the manager is also aware of this and always wanted an improvement, and remember is not all about buying but what you can make of it is what that matters... really we need one more player to add to the team and the position is Defensive Midfielder thats the area we need a very strong and matured individual to assist apart from that i don't think we need any more position to straighten.

The fact remains that in todays market they will cost at least £100M. Top quality ones more like £150M.

Where will the money come from? Its not Wengers fault we do not have this money available, no club would have this money available unless lent it by benefactors.
