Striking is not the issue, and Bendtner is becoming the new Eboue with regards to disproportionate blame.

Or more accurately the new Hleb.

I don't think many blamed Bendtner for Saturday's defeat. Show me a post that did that. The whole team were extremely poor.

But if a player has an absolute stinker, do you not expect it to get highlighted on here?

I really really hate scapegoating but there's not much I or anyone else could defend about Nic's performance last Saturday.

Vast changes from the top of our club?

**** that, I love this club. The team needs fine tuning, and a few decisions by club officials may be questionable but a mass change is definetley not needed.

You want to end up like Chelsea and be virtually unrecognisable?

**** that

I'm applying it more, not just to Saturday, but to posts on here, comments in the media, and chatter in the pub before games etc.

Its as if we have a strikers issue. Bendtner is our 4th choice striker, only playing due to injuries and suspensions. We are shipping goals for fun, embarrasingly bad goals, every week. The defensive structure needs sorting out. We can't defend set pieces, we can't defend long range shots, we can't defend!

One thing we can do is score goals(including NB), but that doesn't matter if you are always going to leak goals. I'm no NB fan-club, but I think he is an effective squad striker.

The difference with Bendtner in my opinion is that people are saying he is not good enough. Which as a fourth choice stiker at his age is not surprising. With Eboue it was personal, and therefore unjustified.

I'll tell you a team that is 'unrecognisable'.

It is the one who cannot defend

It is the one who are loved as the modern day West Ham, who will usually put on a show before they fade and die

It is a Club many of whose players give the impression they would just as soon be anywhere else

That is the Club I would rather not recognise as my Arsenal.

I don't know who's available. Part of the problem is we don't have anyone on the board at the Club with football acumen as David Dein had when he head-hunted Wenger all those years ago.

No one. There is a reason Wenger and Ferguson are called living legends... They are the best around, and you can bet anyone else who comes in at this stage would struggle to keep us at where we are. He [or the club] made a mistake in the summer, we are paying for it. It is NOT the end of the world.

To be honest there are only about 3 managers out there, Hiddink, Prandelli, Spalletti. Oh and Ramos but at arsenal...no chance, he will probably be at madrid within a few weeks anyway

Arsene for the next few years...then get Adams in (providing he doesnt turn out to be a totally shite manager) Cool

Are you saying these people are on the same level as Arsene?

Okay, just making sure. Obviously disagree about Ramos, he has proved nothing league-wise and apparently a lot of success he enjoyed in Sevilla came down to the structure of the club, not just him.
