I think he does. The problem with him isn't his agility or shot-stopping... it is his judgement and communication. Judgement is his style, he tends to stay on his line... that's fine, but I like a keeper in the Lehmann mould who is coming for crosses. And he didn't communicate well enough last season, but not seen it as much this season.
To be fair, that save from Fabianski is probably a candidate for save of the decade.

That was an incredible save but one swallow doesn`t make a summer. He played well generally but we have to balance that with the CC cup game at the swamp. We still haven`t seen enough of him to make judgements but we can be encouraged by the fact that he can make impossible saves like that.

To be honest the only way we are going to know is if he gets a run of first team games. Thing is its so hard for a keeper because they just cant make any mistakes. Walcott for example needed alot of time and some poor games to get to the level he is now but keepers just cant get that time. If he comes in he has to come in on top form as thats what the team must have.
