While most football fans around the country and most media reports laud another fantastic performance from Arsenal’s 2nd team of youngsters, the members of the Official Arsenal Message Board launch an on-line celebration in their own inimitable style, celebrating all that was wrong with the performance.

Goalkeeper Fabianski showed “very poor decision making” and “is not good enough for Arsenal”.

Merida and Randall were “pretty average”

The Emirates is turning into a WWE show with porly thought out banners on display.

The Mexican wave is not wanted.

While the “Vela is Rubish” thread was tongue in cheek, the “sad truth” thread linking to a critical Eurosport article saying that Wenger neglects the present while looking to the future, was unfortunately not. Yep you got it, an Arsenal fan posts a link to an article that concludes “Arsenal's Carling Cup team is the reason they will never win anything meaningful again.”. Thread starter EduardoSilva’s comment “have to say that every word is true” wins him the award of Miserable Unappreciative Gooner (MUG) of the Day.

Arsene “Puff”Army calls for his own medicine to dull the pain that went with last night’s win - sign Buffon, Puyol, Senna & Xabi Alonso.

11RVP11 shows his Scouse optimism by suggesting that Wilshere is not good enough for Arsenal. While Thynker dismisses the lot of them with the exception of Merida.

All in all a very positive day on the board so far. But wait, some of the resident whingers haven’t logged in yet. Let’s see what the evening brings.

People are just worried about their club, results like last night are only going to favour wengers opinion on youth, which wouldn't be a bad thing, if he retain some of the players now, for then these players are our first team

I for one enjoyed last night more than I have enjoyed it for ages because the players were all home grown or purchased very young and 4 of them look like world stars.
Im as annoyed as anyone about our failure to win trophies but seeing these play last night made me realise that we dont need to spend huge amounts of money in the transfer market.
Nothing has changed my mind that we need a replacement for Flamini-Vieira but apart from that we dont need any more wingers, strikers or defenders.
We need a new goalkeeper but thats it.
Vela should be starting now and Wilshere is just awesome, Ramsey is Cescs number 2 and Gibbs played well.
I was and am criticle of Wenger and he has made some woeful decisions but its obvious he sees the bigger picture when I dont.

its funny swede....cos after such a brilliant performance and all you can do is post a thread like this one, berating other posters, pretty hypercritical surely?? as there isnt a single postive thread on this forum about last nights performance from the team or individual players.

maybe you should look a bit closer to home before mouthing off, pretending to be arsenal supporter of the decade. Winkwinker!

The reason i named these players in one of the threads - because we do lack experience and a dominant holding central midfielder - last night was a good win for the kids

but it doesn't paper over the cracks we are still 3 or 4 quality players short as the results against Fulham, Hull, Sunderland and Stoke showed - i'd rather win 4 PL games then some mickey mouse CC game

I notice you have quoted me in there Swede talking about his "poor decision making" - you fail to add that I hailed his save and mentioned that decision making improves over time and is evident in all young keepers whilst reflexes are natural and the most important thing for a young keeper to have - which he did.

I also went on to state how much last night made be proud in so many different ways - so there are two sides to every story!!!
