Den, do you *really* believe that Arsene would not be bolstering those positions that are woefully lacking IF he had the funds with which to do it? If so, then what you're really saying is that Arsene has lost the plot - and I'm not sure which scares me more... a serious lack of funds impacting the team, or Arsene refusing to spend what is needed.

Why not ask why we don't want an axe murderer running the government when people complain about governmental issues? Man City's owner wouldn't have passed a 'fit and proper' test in most countries. As far as Liverpool goes, I would guess from the comments that there have NEVER been two other owners of any English football club that failed to get along with each other.

I would agree with you if a billionaire took us over who was a lifelong Arsenal fan and had the clubs welfare at heart and didn`t want anything else but success for the club.Unforunately such people are non-existent so we would be left to the mercy of people like Usmanov or Kroenke, who knows what their agenda is.

Also Sierra those 2 guys at Liverpool hasve given the manager loads to spend so whats the issue ?
Liverpool have become more profitable since they arrived so again whats the big deal.
As for City the baord were nuts to sell to that guy bit they were desperate.
Arsenal have everything inplace already and no need for fear for the man that will come has Arsenal in his blood.

It is well known he is a united fan and had an executive box there. Couldnt even name a few 1st teamers players from our double winning sides without screwing up.

But isnt David Dein a lifelong Arsenal fan - who would be the face of Usmanov at the club.

I dont think we need a Usmanov figure, i thnk we just need some of the current board to stump up a bit of their own personal wealth - like Steve Gibson @Boro and Jordan at CPalace. 2 Million each from the major shareholders and we'd have enough to sign Barry/Alonos- thats all it would take, one big signing of a decent player (not a Robinoho, Ronaldo superstar deal!)

Surely these guys love the club and can see we need the investment!?! ARe they deluded/stupid- if i had Fizmans money i'd send a cash lined limo to Villa Park to pick up Barry when the final whistle went on Saturday!
