Why wouldn't they? Money is no object to City now, so they will sell and buy at whatever they want, they are not governed by market conditions hence £109m for Kaka.

If they don't want Richards anymore, they could sell him for £1 if they wanted, it wouldn't matter
True any team who can pay £14 million for Craig "I love moving in the January Window" Bellamy can do whatever they want at any point in time. Roll Eyes

Richards would be a good signing and cheap at £7m but I doubt it's true Man City would be mad to sell him.

Richards for Toure swop? would make sense IMO. Richards has been poor for a while tbh, but is it because he wants away or did he think he'd made it? I suspect abit of both.

Whilst I wouldn't claim to be at the centre of transfer news I do know one or two people who know a good deal more about what is actually going on behind the scenes than the rest of us.

The suggestion is that there is indeed some truth in this rumour. "Enquiries" have been made and City are not unhappy with the idea of shedding Richards who has not really settled and has lost form.

The issue may be that City are interested in Toure whereas Arsenal want to sign Richards to replace Gallas who may well leave in the Summer.

My suspicion is Richards is in talks about leaving to join Arsenal in the Summer rather than now but that we are now at the head of the queue.

Given the guy's undoubted ability and youth, he would be a great signing for anything less than £10 million. He has the potential to be a key defender.

Too right and as he started as a right back he could also cover for Sagna in case of injury.

According to Metro he is quoted as saying that although he is an Arsenal fan he wants to prove himself at City.

on the sunday supplement yesterday, one of the panellists had interviewed micah richards' father.

when richards signed his new contract with city, he purchased a bentley for a six figure sum at the age of 19. his father was dismayed at this, he wanted to keep his sons feet on the ground.

funny thing is, he has lost his form pretty much ever since he signed the contract

does he think he has "made it"

Signing of the window if it was pulled off - but its little more than our reported interest in Given, Saviola, Kranjcar, Alonso [again] etc. etc. etc.

It would be great though...
