Are are youngesters that are up and coming good enough to play in the first team?

Nacer BARAZITE
Rui FONTE
Henri LANSBURY
Mark RANDALL
Jack WILSHERE

For an example....

I'd say Randall could do a job, and maybe Barazite. Haven't seen much of Lansbury, thought Fonte was ok not great and Wilshere is too young.

Possibly Randall, but I wouldn't want to count on the others week-in and week-out.

Might get to see them tomorrow in the Barnet game but would be be good to see them more so in the emirates cup and over in the Amsterdam tournament against tougher sides.

Watched Fran Merida play for the Spain U19 this morning snd he looked a bit special.

What about Gibbs?

He's been off with England u19 and doign well from the reports i read, plus he did alright in the Emirates Cup last year.

I think of the players listed we are more likely to see them out on loan, Randall looks good but i tihnk you'll find him farmed out to the championship after pre-season but i agree he's the best of the bunch.

Wilshire loooks v good too, but as stated too young - he'll play alot in the reserves this season, which will be a step up for him and hopefully a step on the road to a long Arsenal career

Non of these players have squad numbers, including the promising Fran, so maybe we can expect them off on loan again? Aren't Salamanca taking 3players?

Good shout Bri the BelfastGooner

Gibbs played very well in last years Emirates cup and if my memory is any good up against Sheff U in the cup where Eduardo score a couple.

True Gunner PB, he did play against Shef Utd, and if i remeber he didnt look out of place.

I tihnk with seven subs on the bench we are going to need the numbers regardless of quality so he and alot of others mite hang around without gettin much action in the league but Randal and Gibbs should defo be in the Carling Cup team, especially with Diaby being a first teamer and Diarra and Gilberto gone and others likely to be loaned out.

Personally what I've seen of Randell I dont like, doesn't seem to have much presence or enough bit to warrant a place in the squad. Much prefer Jay Emmanual-Thomas who again who at 17 we'd still have to for. Merida is the most likely to be pushing Diady and Densilson in an attacting mid sense and there's(for me) the unknown quantity in Ramsy who might be a revelation, who knows.

From Memory I don't think Fonte is 100% going to be with us this year anyway.

I really like Lansbury and Barazite think both could step up. Same with Randell as it goes.

Only seen Wilshires goal and the highlights from that game so can;t really comment, but from that he looked great.
