I love Arsenal NOT Adebayor - he is not the club, he plays for it - and in my opinion he should be sold unless he categorically denies the press reports and says they have been fabricated or apologises to the Club and fans for the behaviour of him and his agent.

Way I see it... IF his head has grown too big and he wants ridiculous six-figures-a-week sums then yeah, I would get shot.

At the moment all we know is that a player has said he wants to stay at Arsenal but also tried to link himself to other clubs, in order to get more money from Arsenal. At the moment that isn't enough for me to turn on him, though no doubt he will have to clear the air one way or another before [if] he starts the season for Arsenal and earn back the respect of fans like you on the pitch.

However, what Ade has done is totally different from Ronaldo, Berbatov and Keane etc. He wants to stay but wants more money - lots of great Arsenal players have done that down the years, just done it quieter probably.

It wouldn't be the first time, but I don't mind, as long as a player is at Arsenal I will always give him the benefit of doubt and not turn on him until I know it is totally true.

imho there is no smoke without fire and that his head has been turned by clubs in Spain and Italy. Better to cash in now and get someone else (who knows the offside rule i might add) then be stuck with someone who could actually cause some unrest in the changing room - only time will tell but i am willing to bet he will be sold (if not this summer then the next one)

This is where we differ, I agree but also we know [for a fact] just how much the press make up. There is some truth in it, but I believe [atm] it is just him trying to get a new deal. I should hope Wenger does know what he's doing but at the same time the Henry thing was a massive cock up (cost us £9million in wages for one season i think) so i shall reserve judgement on that.

His head has been turned, but most likely by the agents who hang around him. It does not excuse his actions, but he now has been convinced he is worth £120k a week. He doesnt want to leave Arsenal as such, his ideal solution is he plays for us next season and we pay him £120k a week.

The funny thing is, Barca or Milan won't pay him that. Having paid £25 million plus for him, they are not going to throw huge wages at him. Flamini only got a huge wage because Milan did not have to pay us a penny (much like how Sol Campbell was paid £90-100k a week by us when we signed him).

Perhaps his agent(s) have been told one or both those clubs will pay that figure and thats why this is the figure that is being spouted by Ade. But I find it amazinging ANYONE would pay him that, hes just backed himself into a corner now.

He will stay, because nobody will come in for him at the price we want and even they do, I dont see them paying the stupid wage he wants. The sad thing is, I actually think he is a decent guy but hes been blinded by the dollar signs. He will likely come back to some stick and not even realise why, which again is stupid but it would not shock me, footballers are so oblivious. Cole was generally stunned and outraged the Arsenal fans did not 100% support and back him after he met with Chelsea and said he wouldnt play for us for 200k a week.

Its a really sad situation, but hes made his bed and being naive is no excuse. He is the only one who can make this right, by coming back, working his backside off and scoring lots of goals again. If he does that, he probably will get a decent rise next summer too.

I wont sing the songs however Ade will get no ounce of support from me.
At the same time i can understand why those songs are being sung. The same thing will happen at United with Ronaldo. Unfotunately thats modern football.

Henry was the right thing to do. I am not so sure the club could have dealt with losing him before playing at the Grove on the back of Paris - could have been too much. He cost us a lot in the last season, but over his career he was more than value for money so I'm not too bothered about that.

If Ade has had his head turned - which I don't think there is much evidence to support at all - and he is disruptive then Arsene will get rid of him.
