Singing derogatory songs about an Arsenal player is just wrong. If he leaves then feel free if that is what floats your boat, but as long as he is wearing the shirt it will not help his confidence and therefore will affect the team you claim to love. I'm prepared to tolerate the bad for the greater good if that is what Arsene decides to do.

I agree there is no need to make it personal - and thats from both sides of this coin

It would send out the wrong message. I dont like what is going on, but its his choice.Imagine how the rest of the team and AW would feel. It wouldnt just be insulting to the player but the club as a whole.

like most footballers, Adebayor has an inflated sense of his own worth.

I can honestly say that despite all his goals, I've not taken to him and if current speculation turns out to be true, then I will truly be glad to see the back of him.

However, we've also not had any denials that the speculation is fabricated by newspapers.

One thing for sure, is that many Arsenal fans now have a different opinion of him.

As in the case of Ronaldo, all this speculation could be nipped in the bud, but these players love the publicity, hence my first comment. The way too make these players understand is to avoid singing their names, buying merchandise with their names on it, etc. I wonder how many Arsenal fans have Ade's name on their new CAFC shirt?

In my opnion Ade is just another footballing mercenary that will be the downfall of this great game.
