“There was a debate on Thursday about Arsene Wenger on Sky. How crazy is that if you step back from it.

“People on Sky actually getting interviewed about Arsene Wenger, saying he shouldn’t be doing this or that. Consider what that man’s done for the game and we’re giving these people air time?

“I wouldn’t listen to these people in the pub and yet they’re on television constantly — ex-players, ex-referees giving their opinions.

Spot on really. As much as I hate to say it, simular things could be said about Red Nose and Benetez (but to a lesser extent). I enjoy nothing more than hearing managerial advice from people who really know sod all about it. I like to moan and groan about certain things but at the end of the day I'm not a manager and in AW I trust. Except if we win no trophy again this season Razzer

Yeah obviously, but he was still a tit. Seems to have calmed down since becoming a manager, is always good to hear his interviews he normally says something interesting.

Probably been said before on the boards... I think recently the meadia have tried to sow seeds of doubt against Wenger with a view to turning people (including Gooners) against him. Had this continued, unfortunately some people would actually begin to believe the hype. (I'm not wearing a tin foil hat - honestly!) Well said Keane - some perspective.

Tend not to favour a partcular paper but also read Keane's comments in The Independent. Am surprised they also appeared in The Sun. Did the Sun also print the Keane's comments about Richard "Dick" Keyes from Sky Sports? (News Corporation and all that.)

"I was asked last week by ITV to do the Celtic game," he said. "A couple of weeks before that I was asked to do the United game against Celtic at Old Trafford. I think I've done it once for Sky. Never again. I'd rather go to the dentist. You're sitting there with people like Richard Keys and they're trying to sell something that's not there.

"After the Newcastle game we had Keys on saying we've never seen anything like it, dressing things up that weren't really there, just because he was in a bad mood."

Today's result has achieved a lot more than just the 3 points.
