Think Wolves will try to keep it tight so could do with a quick goal to get them to at least try to attack. I'm hoping they won't take it for granted that it's 3pts then we'll win. More goals for RVP.

Harsh, but definitely wouldn't rule it out. Alkmaar's goal on Wednesday was pathetic.

You'd have to move, unlike Almunia. Wink

According to the Daily Mail (todays edition seemed to be all about Arsenal) a lot of clubs as well as Arsenal scouts looked at Vermaelen but decided that he was too small and wouldn`t cut it in the Premiership. However,AW saw him keep Henry quiet when we played Ajax and decided to take the chance and it has turned out to be another `Arsene Knows`

It does appear to be a masterstroke. I was as sceptical as anyone when our only new centre back was a young, small (for a centre back), unproven player I've never even heard of. Well played Wenger, yet again. It proves Wenger's philosophy that you don't need to spend big money on a big name to get quality.
