I'd be over the moon with Arshavin and Yaya Toure (or replace with any big ugly defensive midfielder)

I actually think it should be a condition of us buying somebody, they have to be ugly... Arshavin is one of these topshop models too, we need a defensive midfielder who would cause you to have an embarassing accident if you saw them in a dark lane...

There must be loads of British/Irish talent out there in the lower leagues. Why doesn't a great coach like Wenger get out there, round it up and develop it? He seems preoccupied with getting the correct physical specimens. 6 foot+ tall, fast, athletic and French speaking.

I'm taking a look around and not seeing many 6ft+ in our squad anymore...

Andrei Arshavin's move to the Emirates could be hijacked by Inter Milan.

Arsene Wenger is tracking Lazio's French centre-back Mobido Diakete, but has been told to improve his £5 million bid.

Jimmy Bullard and Brede Hangeland could be on their way across London from Fulham.

Emmanuel Eboue has admitted he could be tempted by the prospect of a move to Inter Milan.

Niko Krancjar, Portsmouth's Croatian winger, is a January target for Arsenal.

But Wenger has ruled out a move for Udinese's Gokhan Inler.

Manchester City midfielder Stephen Ireland has become Wenger's main tagret for the new year window. His interest could see a deal done as City have their eye on Kolo Toure.
