Drogba could face a 3 match ban after throwing a coin into the crowd and giving them the finger. Jamie Carragher was banned for 3 matches for similar incident against us in 2002.
If he is banned he's miss the game against us. Shame
Obviously from an Arsenal point of view I hope he's banned, but kind of mad he has to accept coins being thrown at him without being allowed to respond? Have the original throwers been identified? Doubt it.
nothing more than he deserves. If a fan is caught throwing a coin they receive a ban for life, and his apology is only because he knows he in the s***e.

Agree with that but 2 wrongs dont make a right and he is supposed to be a 'professional'
I agree the coin wasn't just 'lying' on the pitch, but at the same time as I have said a 'fan' would be banned for life if caught, he will b lucky to receive a 3 match ban, and is just proving that he is as immature as the 'fan' who threw it in the first place.
Not a chance he'll get charged. He's Chavski it'll just get swept under the carpet as usual.Besides, who's gonna believe a Chavski player gave money away.

I've heard tht same fact over and over again on SSN, talksport etc but it's prob worth noting that Carragher got sent off and therefore thats why he missed 3matches, just as if he'd throw a fist at a player. For Drogba to get down it would be setting a precedent.
would be interested to see the refs report - if he say him throw something and didnt send him off he'd be in trouble, he mite just have booked him for inciting the crowd.

Completely agree with you TW!!! I guess the same happens in everyday life, if you get provoked on the streets and you retaliate, you might end up getting charged instead! He should have been sent off like carragher was 6 years ago..
I wish he could have lobed the coin back at the idiot who threw it in the first place, but what are the odds ehn? Those lot are thugs.
Haha good news! Although there's more chance now they'll play Essien... and we don't have a very good track record against that guy...
Essien is injured and will not be back till next year...anyway even if he's back soon he cannot be that match fit.
anyteam who beat the mancs "US Federal Reserve Boys" should not be scared to play the chavs anyway.....
Lastly why did Drogba pick that area of all 4 quadrants in a Stadium to celebrate. ..I condemn both throwing of coins at players and also players throwing coins
