thanks for everyones input on this subject. i realise i'm not the only person this has happened to and won't be the last and i know it is not the clubs fault for the traffic but you would like to think that they may offer something to show that there is some consideration for supporters especially considering the current financial climate the country is in. The money spent was a lot for us which coupled with upset of missing the match has been a gutting couple of days for us and i just hoped they mite show at least some consideration for this. As of npw they havn't even replied to my e-mail.

Sorry to hear all that Sheffieldgooner; you have a big journey to support Arsenal, always the chance of problems on that motorway. I`d be surprised if the club refunded you but a reply would be courteous. Post a bit more on here!

The problem is, and i dont mean this in a nasty way, your email is going to go to a Customer Service agent, who realistically, is unlikely to show any compassion to your plight.

Now, this may not be because they dont share your anger, they may even be able to relate to it, but they have a policy to run by and it is extremely unlikely that they will break from it.

After receiving the initial e-mail from the club saying my e-mail was passed to the relevant persons i am still awaiting further response from the club. I think it maybe time for me to try giving them a phone call or something now. PS what a result on saturday great performance from the lads, gallas and nasri in particular. Wish i'd got a ticket now, even if it had of meant getting up at about 6am it would have been wortg it lol

Just another quick update on my situation. Telephoned the club the other day about this matter and they informed me to put in writing what happened along with my initial e-mail and booking receipt and fax it down to them and that they have set in place a new policy regarding matters like mine. Fingers crossed for some replacement tickets or something and i'll be a happy man again, even though we'll prob lose wen i go again( hull and villa) lol!

Good to hear you`re not just being ignored. Your circumstances were exceptional and easily verifiable. It`s not like you just decided not to go. Hope you get a result.

Yea so do i m8. I put on the letter that they can easily check with police or highways agency to verify the accident that happened on there. I've heard in local paper up here in sheffield it was a man walking down the middle of northbound carriageway of m1 and got hit with van causing pile up! Makes it even worse to think we were on southbound aswell but stil got held up.
