this thread isent about Bendtner but, if you look at the strikers ..Ade, Van Persie, Vela, Eduardo, Theo .... you think Bendtner should come last on this list ..the only part i like about this guy which our team definately needs is HEIGHT!

Bendtner is second choice behind Ade for the Target man role. He had a stinker today but is still quality.

We agree on lots but on Bendtner we are poles apart.

He is not a complete player, to look good he needs service and our team is not set up for that. I have faith that he will score and if he leaves for a team with wingers, he would score loads.

I watched the game on TV and couldnt see past Ramsey and Wilshire. The last time a player stood out like this to me was when I watched us play Oxford and Bentley got on the ball.

I was very encouraged by the 2nd half but oh so let down by the first half team. Dont care about the goals but there was just no imagination, sharpness or magic moments. Just a very dull flat first half. We should have scored but we didnt...same old same worn out pattern...

But I ended last season sad when I looked at our strength IN DEPTH...our bench was very very lightweight...and with the recent transfer activity outwards I am not feeling a whole lot better.

Quite possibly another season looking forward to the next one...

But if there was a trophy for the most cost efficient performance...well it will have the club name on it already Frowner

Maybe Simon Jordan has a point...maybe I do just want too much???

This game didnt mean a thing and any performances really dont count for much. Got to wait a few weeks before trying to make up points here and there.

Positives: Ramsey in the first half, Wilshere in the second. Fantastic talents, very excited about them both

theo and bendtner both stank the place out...but to be fair they were both feeding off scraps.....denilson was poor....only clichy and ramsey were any good...the rest were either average or poor.

I don't see the point of this thread. You really cannot judge players based on the first pre-season game of the year. Maybe some players are slower starters than others, maybe the patchwork nature of the team in the first half with some playing out of position or playing with each other for the first time affected performances.

The reserves have been back in training for longer than the first team players and they were playing a rapidly tiring Barnet team. I'll leave Arsene to decide who is good enough for Arsenal given that he sees the players on a more regular basis than we do.

Wenger never has had a clue about goalkeepers anyway.
