Ive been real negative lately and the win Vs United was a great team performance but obviously we have a long way to go.
Nasri is the player I wanted to replace Hleb abd Walcott on the other side is getting better.
Obviously Cesc is the set up man and quality midfielder so all we need centrally is Vieiras replacement.
It cant be that hard for Wenger to be a strong ball winning midfielder. Where is Diabys position by the way ??
I like Vela he doesnt get a chance but from what Ive seen he is good. Eduardo will be quality when he gets back and Van Persie is playing under par so we have to hope he finds top form.
Adebayor has had his good games so we should be able to score more goals in the second half of the season.
Overall we just need a really strong central midfield player that will set Cesc free and thats not a dig at Denilson its just that Denilson is not strong.

Good post Rocky.I think Denilson is really a good player but is not a holding mid-fielder but he will be a good replacement for Cesc when he is rested/injured.

I always feel a bit guilty about Denilson, as i rate him as a very good player, unfortunately i think he is too similar to Cesc and the partnership doesn't work when we play more physical teams. It's not that i dislike him but i just think we need someone more physical and defensive minded in there at the moment.

Agree, I feel the same about Ramsey too. Great player but is a substitute for Cesc not someone to compliment him.

To be fair, this hasn't shown itself to be a problem this season yet. He wasn't in the middle for the Stoke game, and when he has played there against 'tough' sides - Bolton and Blackburn away, he has done well. I think he's played [Fulham aside] quite well, he's gradually learnt to discipline himself more... to get himself around... and tackle too. I think Denilson is doing better and better each game, and is strong enough... but he needs help from the other 3 midfielders defensively that at times hasn't been available.

Oh and Rocky nice thread... but how has RvP been under-par? A few people have said this now, and I just don't see it.

Anyone who crticised Adebayor last season saying he missed too many chances, and that RVP would have put them away if he was playing, must be questioning that view now. He's missed a hatful this season, I think he's been good generally though, pretty dangerous.

Yeah his shooting boots have abandoned him at times... though to be fair he has hit the woodwork [at least] four separate times this season, so he has been a bit unlucky not to have more goals... Still, 13 starts and 7 goals isn't bad! But yes he has at times missed a few sitters, but like you said in general he has been dangerous. His performance against Spurs was top class.

Agree, unfortunately let down by the defenders.

Although Van Persie is missing chances he is still scoring and still getting into those positions.

It would be bad if he wasn't there to miss them but he is so he will click eventually although I think he's been scoring enough this season so far.

Agree, better than not getting in positions at all.

Definatly, I hope people don't start getting on his back as he is needed and he showed how valuable he is last season when he missed the second half of it.

Yes, when he's on form he is amazing. Incidents like the Stoke Red Card need to be cut out though. We really didn't need him out at the moment.

Yeah, he's always had a little firey streak in him though hasn't he.

Said in the paper that he is close to agreeing new terms so he is definatly a big part of Wengers plans even though a lot seem to be going off him.

An Ade/Robin partnership has huge huge potential... possibly one of the best in Europe I think. Between them they can do everything, and they seem to click well now. But yeah he needs to put his frustration towards helping the team... if we had him on the field at Stoke we might have nicked a draw, who knows? But generally he has calmed down a lot over the last season or two, and I think fans have over-looked his good performances because of other problems in the team.

Not me... I think he is one of the best footballers to watch in the league, and he produces the goods as well!
