Good grief ! who thought up that list ? Andy Williams your having a laugh. Is the author of the online gooner really that sad.Anthems dont get selected they evolve. It was used as an advert for Honda motobikes afew years ago according to Wikipedia but has no relation to Arsenal. Bring back the Amended Version of the Eton Boating Song .

In response to critisism of the list, I guess it's up to people to be proactive and make these things happen.

No idea how the list was chosen - but everyones tastes are differant.

I think they are trying to be inspirational, and move away from Queen, or Simply the Best type thing.

Yes they do eveolve, but on the 'terraces' we ain't been coming up with much, so we need to be inspired.

Personaly, I'd have liked an adapted version of Freddie's Anthem...as at least the crowd already sing that.

Trouble is you might confuse them with two sets of words. Great song but only after Freddie leaves. " we love you Arsenal etc"

I though Impossible Dream was a bit naff...then the wife moaned at me to turn it down coz Big Bro was on (I know, I knoW) so I plugged my head phones inot the pc, pumped up the volume, and it was pretty good. Get half the crowd sining that with their scarves out...could be good.

If we have to have an anthem it should be the Freddie one with updated words including the verses, at least it is Arsenal first & other teams copied it from as we were the ones to start using the tune originally, as per the Vierra song as well.

Some of, infact most of the others suggested are extemely naff IMO but I am usually described as a music fascist by friends anyway!

Yes remeber singing that one on one of the British Rail footbal specials going up to Villa park for a semi against Manure. Mind you I was too young to drink, drink at the time

Anyone that doesnt know the tune it is usually sung in the Plimsoll ( sorry the auld Triangle )about half an hour prior to kick off as the boys leave for the ground.
