She wore a yellow ribbon was being sung at the city game in the north east corner.
At away games AW red and white army still goes strong. At the boro game in particular I can remember it going on for about 15 minutes!

Just seems weird that none of them are sung at home games. Surely at least 80% of the away guys also go to the home matches?
Off topic - I think putting a bunch of people who sing in one area is a bad idea. It isolates other people.

I totally agree. It might have worked at highbury with 2000 odd people in the middle of a 6000 seat tier, as it got the whole lower north singing, but it doesn't seem to work as well in the corner. Poorly thought out.

Can't the club hand out song sheets for the matches? Mite get people singing, probably not though!

Theres really no need. If you can't pick the words up then I'm sorry but you have problems!
By about my second or third game at Highbury I had picked up 70% of the songs.

Agree with that but if they had words in front of them it might encourage a few more to sing.

I know what you mean. Its just a shame it has to come to ideas like that really.

I've come to that conclusion as well. I think the Red Action section has actually made the rest of the north bank quieter. If it was central it would be better but having it in the corner I think stops the rest from starting up songs and because the sound doesn't travel that well it's difficult for others to join in.

Yep, and from the CE (where I tend to sit), you simply can't hear them at all. Should have a few singers in each block, then it would pass round really well. There are a lot of people (esp in the mid-sections) who stop the sound reaching the far end.
