Im very sorry my fellow fans, but we have lost the following players who have been sold:
Lehmann, Gilberto, Flamini, Hleb and Hoyte

These players have been loaned out:
Senderos (about to), Traore, Barazite, Nordtvedt

That is a total loss of 9 players.

We have in: Ramsey (17 yrs old), Nasri (who i think will be a quality player), Bischoff and Silvestre (both bought even though they are injured) and

Player who received work permit: Vela
Promoted from youth team: Wilshere

That is 25 players we have in our squad.
Those currently injured: Diaby, Rosicky, Bischoff, Silvestre, Eduardo (5 players)

Leaves just 20 fit players in our squad.
Why are so many players being loaned out to other clubs? Are we saying our players are not good enough for the club? Or are we admitting that they need experience for this team to do well? How much experience do they need? Should we have bought experienced players in the first place?

Why have so many players left us? There must be something wrong on the board- ever since the rift with David Dein had started the club has started to fall in to chaos. The sale of Henry- who did not want to leave. Adebayor wanting more money.

Wenger now stating he needs no-one else: well if last season didnt teach us a lesson, we need depth and experience. Fulham showed that we dont have a leader, Gallas is a useless captain- Fabregas has his passion in the club. If you dont have passion and you dont wont to win then we are doomed.

This thread is trying to discern what is going wrong? I think we are in crisis.

Not quite sure I'd call it a crisis yet.... plenty of other clubs would love to be in our situation.

We have 18 outfield players mate, we have a midfield that cannot cope with relegation fodder. We have lost hleb and flamini *Who were both world class players at the club. This is a crisis.

I'm getting really tired of this message board at the moment so I'll take a break for a few weeks until things have calmed down. The lack of understanding and the willingness to only see the negatives are just getting too much.

Everything seems to be so black'n white at the moment so let's see after we've won the next few games if things change.

Well Christian, maybe because we are seeing the same that we have seen since 2004. The club lacks ambition, all the press and pundits are saying it. Players wanted to leave us, our performance last week couldve been bettered by a pub team, we need to face reality. These kids are not doing the job and Wenger is loaning them everywhere because he feels they dont have enough experience. Its rather contradictory isnt it?

Sorry, World Class??? Hleb was fancy with the ball at his feet but really didn't create anything the like of Pires managed, in either goals or assists. Frankly I recall him loosing the ball or running into a corner more than I recall assists or goals. Flamini was a good midfielder yes, but one season of being a good midfielder, and we had no choice in letting him go, he wanted to go. We couldn't give him games any earlier so he would have not been likely to sign then. Again I find it hard to class him as World Class after one good year in DM position. Nasri replaces Hleb and from what I've seen does a damn site more for the team. I believe we need a good anchor midfielder but needing 1 player does not mean we're in crisis.

Needing 1 player Ysona? Do you honestly believe: Rosicky, RVP, Diaby, Eduardo et al are going to remain injury free. Rosicky. Diaby and RVP all have awful injury records? Sunderland have over 40 players in their squad and Fulham bought loads of players also, because they know to survive they need depth and experience. How Sunderland got Cisse ill never know.

But this august has been the worst by far. I'm used to it but it doesn't mean that I like itSmiler

A nice break from the message board could also mean that I'll get some work done for a change.

I hope so Mikey, but our squad must be nearing the smallest in the Premiership.

Agree.
A bit early to judge Nas one way or another, but so far so good IMO.
I personally think we need 1 holding mid and 1 thug of a centre back.
Crisis?? Things could be a lot lot worse.

Im just wondering though Mikey, why so many players have left or have been loaned out? and why Wenger is struggling to bring people in or bring in someone experienced? something doesnt quite add up, and he said he was going to get someone and now he says he isnt.

1 player was from addressing your previous comment, you only thought to mention 2 players who had left, Nasri replaces one and I still believe we need to replace 1 more. The post was merely to discuss your opinion that the ones we lost were 'world class', and not a reflection on how many players we needed.

I'd agree we could do with some more experienced players but I still don't think we're in crisis.

If I was Arsene, Diaby, Rosicky and RVP would be on a "yellow-card" so to speak. I know it isn't neccessarily their fault, but if those three aren't available for 80-90% of the games this year, I think its time we moved on without.
