I seem to be one of very few people who actually think Phil is a bloody good player.
He makes mistakes of course.
So does Gallas.
I'd rather Gallas went out on loan.
Give us a chance to promote Cesc to captain.
Phil will do well in Italy. The best place in the world to learn about defensive football.
Hope he comes back next season. And proves he is a whole lot better than people give him credit for.

good luck to the guy, a completely honest guy who has never said a bad thing about the club, has been played & dropped & recalled and has always given 100% Always!!
also seems genuinenly upset when he has made a mistake which shows that he takes the club seriously. hope he comes back....

I rate Big Phil highly and I always thought he would prove everyone wrong and go on to be a future captain for us. Good luck to him at Milan, I hope he comes back to us next season.

Ponderous started well and then had his stuffing knocked out by Drogba all those years ago. He now freezes and the crucial time and make too many SERIOUS mistakes. Losing him is not the worst bit of news i've heard today.

You're right... Nesta doesn't deserve to be in such great company.

It's funny reading some of the stuff on here and other forums about Senderos. If you would of said before the end of last season that Senderos was going to be off I bet most Arsenal fans would of been happy that he was going(not me). But now he is going it's all "he's a good stand in" etc.
As I have said many times on here before Senderos is a good central defender, ok he made some mistakes but show me a young CD who hasnt, he was a central part of our defence in getting to the CL final, he played well with Gallas and Toure he let them do what the do best while he cleared the high balls. Lots of fans go on about his mistakes against Drogba and at Liverpool last season, but our other defenders have made just as many mistakes but I can not remmember there being a backlash against them like there was with Senderos. Playing CD is a very hard position to step into for just 1 or 2 game like Senderos had to do for a lot of his time at Arsenal, it takes time to get your positioning right with the other members of your back line. When he had a good run in the team he improved game after game. I always remember my dad saying years ago that Arsenal fans were the best because they always gave palyers thier full support even if they had a bad game. Well I am begining to doubt that I dont think Arsenal fans gave him a fair crack at the whip, they were quick to forget what he did do for us and how well he played and just looked at him as a scapegoat for our loses. I for one am sorry he is going(even if it's only for a year) he alaways gave 100% in every game he played for us(unlike other CD's!!!!!).
