You're right

a thread discussing Senderos' fitness for a game from over two years ago was the right place to post this

He is off to AC Milan according to this article.[/quote]

There are several sources reporting it. Just had a browse at a Milan forum and its pretty much a done deal according to them

Surprised none of the English based papers have mentioned it

This is annoying. I know Phil has his bad games, but when he gets a run in the side his partnership with Toure is way better than the Toure/Gallas combo.

Phil was defensive cover, as was Hoyte and Traore who've both gone.

I know the Carling Cup isnt a priority, but to these fringe squad players its a chance to appease them by giving them a game and also bringing them along so they are more capable for the 1st team when needed.

Hoyte- Dorojou - Phil - Traore = decent back four for CC

What's our back four going to be for the CC this year - with no Hoyte, Traore or Phil - and either Song or Dorjou now likely to be part of the EPL bench and Norvedit and Gilbert on loan.

All the best Phil, hope we get some good money for him and a sell on/buy back clause in place too

Don't worry Eboue will be able to cover his position. Roll Eyes

Surely if this is true - and it looks increasingly likely - it must mean another CB is in the offing. Surely even Wenger isn't daft enough to carry on the season with the current CB players, even with the addition of Silvestre?

If he does, every Premiership team will be laughing all the way to their next long-ball/set-piece tactical display against us!

Toure and Gallas 1st choice

Silvestre, Song and Dojorou as the back ups - think Dojorou had a good game Vs WBA, while Song finished the season well at CB and showed good signs when he came on Saturday. So i think we can absorb the loss of Phil. But we've no need to sell, we should just keep him and play him in the less important fixtures so as to rest our 1st choice CBs.

Though if we need the money, im all for selling, so long as we put the money back into the squad

Senderos going on loan is a joke.

If I read it on Arse.com then I will be disappointed.

So we wouldnt even be gettin any money (well mimiscule comapre to an actual transfer fee)

THis is loss loss for us - we go down a player, get little financial benefit, plus if he plays poorly they send him back, if he benefits from it they take him - probably on the cheap as we've been willing to loan him means we dont rate him.

i concur - this is a joke!
