I know there's more demand for Premier League matches but now that you can get tickets on General Sale for Champion's League games at the Emirates, isn't it about time that the club got rid of the £30-£33 fee for Red Members, etc?
Fans should be able to just register some details to get tickets as it is with Gen Sale now because it's just another excuse to fleece us for money that Arsene won't spend!in the transfer market!!

Well not that i love spending money or anything, but for the sake of argument that 30-33 quid usually gets you a pack of some sort - this year it included the perry groves book - which is decent plus highlights of the 89 season and it all comes in a decent wee collectors box (for 20quid tho you can just renew memebership)
If there wasnt a memebership there would be no staggering of tickets bein released and the online boxoffice would never cope with everyone trying to get tickets at the same time. Loyal fans would have the same chance as Joe Tourist over seeing the house of parliament and bucks palace (money = loyalty to big clubs sadly)
Also paying the memebership over general sale means you get first priority on the cheaper tickets.
Games going to general sale in champions league jsut means its an indicator that the demand is not necessarly there due to travelling fans like myself cant always make it to midweek games for a start plus group stages are often dead rubber/rountine matches. That's more to do with the competition more thn the support.
Matches going to general sale should be dearer, to encourage red memebers etc to buy them (as in discounted for red memebers)
If you think you can get all the tickets you want without being a member don't pay the membership
I know that I cannot get all the tickets that I want without having a season ticket but if I was happy to go to just most home games then I could JUST become a red member.
Most moans on this board are about the fact that people are waiting for a ST or waiting to get silver, so if people don't want to pay the membership fee then that will be better for fans who are more keen to get better access to games.
I think the membership scheme is brilliant and stops people just cherry picking the Man United, Spurs and Chelsea games because they have to either be ST holders, silvers to have a guarantee and at leats red to have any chance at all.
Ok another rant topic. Why are general sale members allowed to buy 10+ tickets for a game, e.g. Sheffield United H CC when Red Members only get one?
Red memebers can still buy those GS tickets, so theres no real advantage there
