8th of August Crystal Palace Home not open to public 12th of August West Ham Home not open to public 19th of August Oxford City Ladies away
The Palace game was called off, so I ended up watching an inter squad training game. Nice to have a look at our new signings. Arsenal.com also confirmed the Oxford City friendly today.
Arsenal.com has updated the squad numbers and players profile and new pictures. The West Ham game tomorrow is scheduled at 6.30 pm. The following players are on international duty Ireland : Fahey, Byrne Tracy Scotland : Little Beattie England ( not sure if they have gone to camp yet )
Kim is quite small, I would 165 but Jennie is more like 180. I just got my new away shirt printed it is 14 BEATTIE. If you see it at a Ladies game or even at the men, you will be able to recognise me.
The draw has just been done and Arsenal will play away to Paok Saloniki on the 30/09 and home on the 07/10. Should we go through, the winner of Alma vs Sparta Praha will be the next opponent with a second leg at home again.
I went to a pre-season game yesterday and it seems we have a center back on trial. It is a bit strange considering the number of players we have already in that position.
For those who live around the Oxford area and would like to see the girls in action tomorrow night :
Arsenal Ladies will play a friendly at Oxford City FC on Wednesday, August 19.
The game will be played at Oxford City FC, Court Place Farm Stadium, Marsh Lane, Marston, Oxford.
Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
This is the first "official" pre-season game. We have the Irish and English international players missing though. There will be a few known players and loads of academy players on display.
My brother in law was there last night, he thought it was 13 but had lost count! said city's keeper was their best player My neice got accepted into their under 18s the day before, so guess she got some pointers from our girls eh?? She is a gooner though anyway!!!
Oxford City play in the Southern regional combination the 3rd level of the pyramid and train once a week compared to our twice a week girls. I was definitely a good runout especially for the young academy girls as the 91-92 generation has a few potential superstars some of them have been with the seniors since 2006/07 actually.
