I agree we will be short of winger soon. Only Yankey and Davison remaining after Karen's departure and Danii Bird short stint in the club. We currently have one left winger in the reserve side named Lauren Walker which I really like and giving her a chance would be good but unlikely. Otherwise we have our U17 World Cup stars Lauren Bruton and Rachel Pitman who play on the wing as well.

History has seen , Kim and Kelly play on the wing so both could play there in case of emergency.

Finally...The final venue is at Scunthorpe. Not quite fair since it's very close to Doncaster.

I have to re-think again whether will go since it's on Thursday...my working day Mad .

A very average performance yesterday against lower division team Col U.
7-0 is a minimum to be honest.

I heard through friends that Alex, Kelly Emma and karen will all leave to play in the WPS in the USA. I really hope it is a wind-up otherwise it will be a real mess without those 4 players.

A good result definitely, rumour going round at the game on Sunday is that we will only loose Alex Scott Karen Carney and Kelly Smith as Emma Byrne will stay ( her boyfriend is in the Arsenal Ladies coaching staff).
Looks like they are leaving at the end of the month so it might have been their last home game. The team will be weakened without them but I hope Vic has lined-up some replacements because we will be very short in attackers.
Kelly Smith
Wasn`t she recently voted the worlds 5th best player? I should imagine we`ll really miss her.

She is the best English player ever ( female wise) a mix of Zidane, Henry and Pires basically.

..only loose Alex Scott Karen Carney and Kelly Smith..

It's not just 'only' Frowner. They all are the best in each positions.

Good thing is the league will be more competitive since we're weaken Frowner.

Can't help that, even Martha also left from Umea to L.A. Sol.

Hope this is just a rumor.

Sadly it is not a rumour, the girls are going at the end of month.
Regarding replacing them well, you are right wrighty8 they are the number one English players in their position and kelly is a world class player so not an easy feat.
As far as I know I think Vic has lined-up a few replacement like he did with Helen Lander replacing Julie Fleeting. I wouldn't be surprised to see Natasha Dowie coming soon or next summer as well.

Next game is an FA Cup tie away at Middlesborough ko midday Mad
A long trip up North against a side that plays in the Northern Combination ie level 3 of the pyramid. Basically another easy win with squad rotation on the card.

Long trip really. A 4-0 win with all the available players on the pitch bar Carney who was on the bench. Interesting to see the team struggling to score and see how they can solve what will be a recurringproblem from next month.
In the end, the girls' superior fitness prevailed and new signing lander scored two.
