i have got my ticket for man city away and as i have never been to this ground before i am looking for some help.

we are travelling up by car from the midlands.

are there any pubs which we should go to to meet up with other arsenal fans so we can be in the good away day atmosphere before making our way to the ground (we are looking at getting up there quite early)!

also, is it safe to wear colours in the pub and around the ground?

any help would be very must appreciated as we are trying to plan the day asap

I used to live near piccadilly station when I was at uni, and I never used to see many pubs on the way to ground from the station. My mates used to have a drink in the city centre whether is it was united or city. I personally used to have a drink in the sports cafe upstairs in the train station before either game. I don't there is a away supporters pub in Manchester. If you do go to a pub in the city centre, I wouldn't wear colors.

We were in The Waldorf on Gore street on saturday. Im going there again next week. It is just across the road from piccadilly station. Big screen and good food menu. I recognised a few regular faces from away games. Although I wouldnt say it was an ''away'' pub. Plenty of mancs about but no bother. Then we went to the sports bar ramjam is talking about. Arsenal fans will just be scattered about everywhere.
