Quick question- going to book flights with Ryanair but probably not for another 10 days or so - What's the availability likely to be like? Will we be cutting it fine?

Cheers

'the selling of alcohol in the city centre and stadium area is banned for the whole of match day'

********. They said that about Milan and all the bars were open. No chance of that happening!

Certainly never saw anything official about alcohol ban for the milan game either on the net or on the information the club send with the ticket. However is very common on CL match day in Rome. Should be OK in resturants and hotels I would of thought.

trigger, what night you staying in Flaminio, the wed nite.Whats your plans for getting back there after the game. Its 2.5 miles walk from the stadium,im thinking tho it seems safer to get on those buses back to the city centre and jump in a taxi back to the park.

I am staying from monday till Wednesday. I will be with my old man, do you know how many people are staying if its more than 10-15 then it may be ok to just walk back but if its less the best bet would be to get a taxi or train back. On the day they are providing transport to the stadium from the city center so we will get that to the ground that way.

Google has it as a 50min walk, but that also includes running across a busy dual carriageway well into the eary hrs of the morning so prob not a good idea.Think a taxi from wherever the coach drops us in the city centres the best option.if a few of us meet up getting off the buses at the city centre we can all share a few.

Flaminio also do a coach that will pick you up from airport,iv asked them to get me on the tuesday afternoon and take me back on thursday morning, theyre not so quick with a reply tho as to how much they charge.Gota be worth it tho, public transport sounds like a right ordeal.

I booked the mini bus for 20 euro's.its actually a good deal cos the train from the Airport to Termini is 12 euro's and then you need an all day train ticket which is 5 euro's so it get's you staright there for a few pounds more. They were selling Euro's for 1.0975 a pound in Thomson's last night,i think I'll buy mine tonight.
