Geoff Hamilton did a series called Paradise Gardens. That's how I feel about part of my garden. When I win money, the other half will be brought up to scratch as it need brawn to do it.

Jan you should prune. May I suggest that you google " penstemon " and follow the RHS advice. I was given some last year and they were doing so well that I bought more this year. I wish that I had read the RHS advice and one or two others. I could've saved some cash by propogating the shoots! Still, I can donate them to the church bazaar.

The sun is struggling to come out. I wish it would, so things could dry up a bit and i could do some weeding.
