So, the nasty mods tried to kill my garden. Razzer Razzer Razzer I am a gardener par excellence and my garden will survive any attempt at a cull. Razzer Razzer Razzer Gardeners of the world unite against the common foe. I'm now off to my greenhouse to commune with the plants.

It was a very useful thread as well. So many posters asked for and got advice. Even non-gardeners were interested, but the mods weild their axe in a very wide swathe Mad

I`m guessing from the post count that this thread got deleted as well. It seems you`re going to damage your head more than the brick wall Phoenix.

We actually managed to keep a pointsetia(?) alive since last xmas. It`s bushy with good leaves but hasn`t made any red leaves this year. Any ideas that don`t involve paint or lipstick?

I have to find this month's Gardeners World. I'm sure that there was an article about Poinsettias. Will check.

Went to the garden centre today ( 10% day) and it is sooooooo strange. Hardly any garden stuff, just loads of Christmas goodies.

You need to keep it away from the light for most of the year in order for the leaves to turn red.

If you have a spare room that is rarely used at night, put it on the windowsill in there, the long hours of darkness in the autumn / winter should make the difference. But don`t forget it is there and keep it watered!
