It's not a prerequisite of any club that anyone can join. However it would be preferable if they were.

It is a prerequisite under English law that no organisation can discriminate on racial grounds. Of course that does beg the question as to why it has taken until 2009 for an openly racist organisation to be told by the courts that their constitution is illegal. |

I was under the impression that was why he was invited on Thursday. Unfortunately they couldn't do that, as they were too busy queueing up to hurl insults. They shoud have set him straight but they struggled, on all levels other than that he was racist, anf they were not. But we already knew that. They couldn't tell him that they hadn't lost control of border control. They couldn't tell him that they haven't murdered thousands of Muslims, and lost the lives of many British Servicemen in an illegal war that shouldn't have begun. They couldn't tell him that millions of working calss people are out of work due them bowing to the greed of bankers in this country, and following Americas bad precedence. Which unfortunately is why his party is capitalising on the disillusionment of the British public. They wil never get in, thank god, but they may have made the politicians buck their ideas up. |

His arguments will only win the support of stupid racists. Just imagine that his party gets what they really want and that every non white person is deported or gassed. The fact is that non-whites are a *tiny* proportion of the population - go outside of the big cities and it is obvious. Will an English holocaust really create the millions of jobs and houses that are needed? Will it solve the corruption of all politicians (Lib, Lab or Con)? Cure the greed of the bankers? Make the big corporations treat their employees and the environment better? Improve the health, education and welfare systems? Of course not. But idiots can be persuaded that scapegoating people with darker pigmentation is going to make the world a better place. Meanwhile the real culprits for the mess our society is in will carry on sitting on their yachts in their tax havens, counting their money and laughing at the fools who can't see where the real enemy is. |

Absolutely, I have said before on here that one would have to be a racist, by definition, to vote for the BNP. Others disagreed actually, but thats their opinion.
I think the gassing bit may be a bit much, but I don't doubt the deportation bit.
No, of course not. But stopping spending billions on phony wars with "terror", stopping bailing out greedy banks, then letting them make the same mistakes again, not allowing budget deficits of billions that will put us in recession for years WILL help. Banning everything, instead of confronting problems will not. Denying any wrongdoing will not. We will be in recession for years to come due to what this government have done, they are telling us it is getting better. It is not, it will get worse. Taxes will rise, jobs will be lost. We are running on fake money (Quantitative easing), and borrowing more than we have. Bad news, this will not be the last of Griffin and his cronies unless they get a grip on this now, and STOP LYING TO THE PUBLIC. |

However despite the recent law changes it is still quite possible to be blackballed from joining various clubs. It is only in the last few years that women have been allowed in the members lounges in many golf clubs and even to the long room at Lords. If people had bothered to listen to Griffin he actually stated that there now was no problem with people with darker pigmentation, as it has so cutely been put, joining the BNP . Of course they are unlikely to and that is quite understandable. Other than continually just defaming his organisation , it should behoven of the mainstream parties to see where they are getting their support and address the problems and actually lead by example. ( For once ) |

They won't though. As that would be an admission of fault. And htey will not do this. Even though we are in a recession, nearly 3 million unemployed, an illegal war raging that has killed thousands, they still claim they are right. |

Potter, give me one good reason why I should bother listening to Griffin. As it goes, I did listen to him. But your choice of words strikes me as odd. You talk also about defaming his organisation like there is something wrong with doing that. I would say it is exactly the job of all leaders and politicians from other parties to do exactly that when debating with the BNP. What I don't like about this debate is the effort people are going to to be even handed to an organisation which is proven to be full of racists and homophobes. By all means criticise the other parties too, but please don't try and convince me that the BNP are hard done by or deserve a reasonable hearing, because they aren't and they don't. |

If thats the case he shouldn't be invited on the show. And there is a reasonable argument for that. What irritates me is that they were allowed to spend the whole show, at licence payers expense, telling us that Griffin is a racist. We KNOW he's a racist!!! Why did they not just keep to the usual format, and get him to debate the topics of the day, where he would be found out as incompetent. They didn't do this because partly they were as bad (the Baroness is a homophobe as well), or they have failed (Straws pathetic efforts to justify an illegal war while calling Griffin Islamaphobic (which he is)). They should have invited on people that would rip Griffin to shreds in a genuine debate. Tony Benn, George Galloway, William Hague spring to mind as examples. Griffin would have been humiliated against genuine heavyweghts like that. |

Because if he had been allowed to debate all issues there would have been a lot of people who would have agreed with his policies. Take out the racist agenda and some of his policies make sense. |

What, don't spend billions on illegal wars, bail out greedy banks, and don't ban everything in the name of political correctness? Honestly, if they are scared of a fascist crackpot like Griffin telling them this then they are more out of control than I thought. |

I would rather that the other parties realised that in certain areas the BNP are gaining ground. Instead of just yelling YaaBoo shucks at them they should concentrate their minds on the reason why this is happening. Once they have identified the problems they can set about resolving them. That's what I want from politicians I want answers , not a load of empty hot air. |
