yeah i play, 6 max NL hold em cash games, used it to make a bit of money while having last summer off work, did ok, couldnt see my self doing it full time tho
Prefer 6 max but play the bigger tables too. Mainly play tourns. Bigger returns for less risk. But can see the appeal of cash games. I make money but not enough to give up the day job. Have won a few online tourns with buy in between £20 to £50 and a few hundred players in them. But the prob with tourns is that to get a lot of wins and final tables, you have to play a lot.
do a google search for Bluescouse, its a blog, he has stoped posting in it now, but it detailed his poker playing for 2/3 years with regular daily updates,
very intresting read, the massive highs and crazy lows he went thro, lost it all in the end i think.
he sounds like a very good player with poor discipline
thats one of the things about poker .. you can have the technical skills but you need to keep it together in the head .. one of the reasons i play tourns and not cash .. less expensive if you make a mistake in a tourn ...
I've more recently gotten into poker, as I didn't know how to play so wasn't interested. Me and some mates had a game last week with a £5 buy in, winner got £40 which is alright as we do it for the fun night.
Also I play PKR online (only tried 'play money' though which is good practise) - its cool that you get your character and you can do the actions etc.
