i'm not sure what you mean by Flash Indian Food, but i went to Amaya last weekend in London when i was there and had one of the best meals i've ever had. they serve small plate indian fare (kind of like spanish tapas). We ordered the gourmet chef's tasting menu and it was incredible. we left that place stuffed to the brim with some of the best indian i've ever had, probably the best. top 5 meals of all time. Anyone ever been? It's near Belgrave Square

TBH I can`t understand Indian food at all. Burns your mouth on the way in, burns the outlet the next morning. I like to enjoy food then forget about it. Same goes for garlic, peppers, Mexican or Cajun. I went to New Orleans once. I ordered prawns thinking that would be safe. One of them fell off the plate and burned a hole through the tiled floor. Dennys for the rest of the week for me!

interesting. I guess you just don't like spicy foods. i, for one, don't really like anything that isn't spicy. if it doesn't leave my mouth burning, then i at least cover it with pepper.

2 of my neighbours are Bangladeshi and taught my mrs how to make curry properly...those ladies cooking is miles better than any restaurant I've ever been to or takeaway that I've ordered.

As for spices...chilli by the bucketload thanks, my poor Arsenal suffers the following day but it's more than worth it. Thumbs Up

I've been Amerigas and I concur. Fantastic place. You have good taste. Most Londoners I know have never been there or heard of it.

Thanks Swede. I was there 3 nights and we went to Amaya the last night. The first night we had Thai at Patara which was in Mayfair (although i think there are a few of them). i thought that place was excellent as well, though not quite as fancy or pricey.

The second night we ate at Cantina Vinopolis at the Vinopolis Museum. I usually shy away from restaurants at museums but i was really impressed with this one. Naturally their wine list was outstanding and their food was fantastic. It is a simple place, wood chairs and tables, no table clothes, wine racks everywhere, open kitchen. It was relaxed, very nice servers, and the area is great right on the Thames and near the millenium bridge and all that. It was a nice evening with the girlfriend being able to walk from St. Pauls, over the bridge, into the Tate Modern for a spell, then along the thames to the restaurant. afterwards we had a drink outside at the riverside bar that was there, forget the name. I'd recommend the evening to anyone
